Where are we located?

 

The Love Nest feels secluded but is close to the amenities of Alexandria, Louisiana.  As you drive onto the property you will pull into a little drive where you'll park under the covered carport connected to the house.  Step out of your vehicle and you'll be greeted by tall trees and a view of Cotile Lake.  Cotile is a beautiful lake and on sunny days the water sparkles.  During inclement weather you can see how the mood of the lake changes and appreciate the beauty in all her forms.

There is a public boat ramp just a quarter mile from the house and there is plenty of boat parking at the Nest if you want to bring your poles and boat along for your weekend.  There are often fishing tournaments on the lake and the Nest is a great place to stay if you are participating in one.

We are about 20 minutes from Alexandria in Central Louisiana.  If you don't feel like cooking, there are many restaurants in town to choose from.  Close to the house is Lil Boo's.  They have the basics as well as pizza and meat pies and whatnot.  Boo's YNot stop and Dollar General are about 3 miles from the house.

We love the location of the Love Nest.  It's surrounded by beauty, it's private but you're close to the 'big town'.  Because we are in Central Louisiana we are easy to get to from anywhere in the state!
